Rieber & Søn ASA acquired the shares in Rijnhout Onion Products B.V. Rembrandt M&A acted as the exclusive financial advisor of the seller.

Parties
Rijnhout Onion Products is a supplier of baked onion products. The company was located in Kruiningen, the Netherlands, and sold its products in, among other countries, Germany and the United Kingdom.

Rieber & Søn is a Norwegian supplier of food products, founded in 1839, and currently part of the Orkla conglomerate. Rijnhout became part of the Rieber’s Cronions division, the largest supplier of baked onions in Europe, which had a branch in the Dutch town of Sint Maartensdijk. The merger created substantial synergies for both parties.
