Divestment of Assural

Aon Groep Nederland B.V. acquired the shares in Assural B.V., part of Laurus N.V. Rembrandt M&A acted as the exclusive financial advisor of the seller.

Parties
Aon is an originally American (currently British) listed risk management and insurance company. Aon has around 500 offices globally in 120 countries, with over 65.000 werknemers. Aon is one of the largest insurance brokers in the world based on revenu (almost 12 billion dollars).

Assural buys insurance for the Laurus corporation (including super market chains Edah, Konmar, Super de Boer) and for franchisers and the employees. Assural has extensive experience with SMEs, such as grocery stores, drug stores and liquor stores. After the takeover, Assural has become part of the Aon Risk Management department. Through this divestment, Laurus is enabled to focus on its core business.
