Linnenbank Beheer B.V. has acquired the shares in Sporthuis Karssen B.V. (Sporthuis Karssen). Rembrandt M&A acted as the exclusive financial advisor of the seller.

Sporthuis Karssen
Sporthuis Karssen was a franchise of Intersport, an international sports retailer with over 5300 branches in 40 different countries. Sporthuis Karssen was located in Ede, the Netherlands. The company has a long history, and was established in 1929 as a saddle and sail making company. In the mid 80s, the company chose to specialize in selling sports equipment. Intersport Karssen was one of the best performing stores under the Intersport concept in the Netherlands, it was ranked fifth of over 75 stores. The business was bought by the Linnenbank family, which also owns several other Intersport stores. Post-takeover, the store was named ‘Intersport Ede’.
