Chr. Muller Touw B.V. acquired all activities of the consumer division of Lankhorst Touwfabrieken B.V. Rembrandt M&A acted as the exclusive financial advisor of the buyer.

Chr. Muller Touw is specialized in developing, producing, and trading of rope, rope products, and related goods, and offers the right solutions for rope issues. The business is located in Elst, in the east of the Netherlands, and has a long history with at least five generations of rope makers since 1850.

The roots of Lankhorst – currently named Royal Lankhorst Euronete Group – date back to 1751, and started with a rope and sail maker in Sneek, in the north of the Netherlands. The was only named Lankhorst after Nikolaas Lankhorst took over the firm in 1803. In the years that followed, the business has grown to a large producer of ropes and nets, which has 1300 employees. In 2012, the company became part of the American WireCo WorldGroup Inc.
